The team has purchased two Ford Escorts, made in 1971 and 1972, both right-hand drive cars, prepped by RPS in the U.K.. Chris, Tim and Jim went to England to drive and assess them, and advise RPS on what was needed. New engines were installed in each. The blue car is a former factory race car. The white car has completed the 2016 Peking to Paris rally previously, when it was owned by rally friends Steven and Nigel. The Escorts were shipped to Auckland, New Zealand in November of 2019, in preparation for their first race, the 2020 New Zealand Classic.
